Las Brumas • Washed Pacamara • El Salvador
Flavour
Bright and wonderfully crisp, with notes of apricot, orange and a touch of cinnamon, balanced by a velvety plum sweetness. Light to medium-bodied, with a delicate cider-like finish.
Origin
Produced by Ernesto Menéndez at Las Brumas, in the Apaneca-Ilamatepec Mountain Range, Santa Ana, El Salvador, at 1460–2000 m above sea level.
Variety
Pacamara, an iconic Salvadoran variety prized for its complexity, vibrant acidity, distinctive aromatics and layered fruit character.
Process
Washed – the coffee cherries are depulped and fermented before being thoroughly washed and dried, resulting in a clean, transparent cup that highlights the variety and terroir.
Why we love it
A beautifully transparent and elegant Pacamara that balances bright citrus and stone fruit with a soft, velvety sweetness. The combination of apricot, orange, plum and cinnamon makes every sip lively and layered, while the cider-like finish keeps the cup refreshing and precise. Grown among the natural forest, the slow-growing coffee develops an exceptional depth of flavour.
